Bright Day tech festival:discover the world of robots with the family

The older we get, the more we seem to fear technology. Let's face it:with robots I am afraid of 2 things. Or they will eventually take over my work… Or the whole world 😉 . Recognizable? While our kids don't seem to be afraid of those developments at all. And rightly so! Because instead of being afraid of modern technology, maybe we should embrace it. Is your child already interested in high tech? Or would you like to fan that flame a bit? Then the Bright Day festival is undoubtedly a trip for you!

Bright Day Tech festival for the whole family

I had previously attended the Bright Ideas Challenge, also an event with technical highlights. More than worth a look around and that also applies to the Bright Day festival in my opinion.

Because what can robots actually do? And how can we use them to make our lives more enjoyable? You will learn that and more at the Bright Day festival, for example. Great fun for boys and girls who like to learn about modern technology. And mom and dad and grandpa and grandma can just come along. Because they too can undoubtedly learn a lot at this festival! Read on, because we can give away 2 free tickets for the tech festival!

Sniffing technology

Technology is playing an increasing role in our world. More and more is being automated. And so it's a plus if your kids are interested in technology. And, if you delve into it a bit, it is also very interesting!

Of course you don't have to enroll them immediately for a high-tech training. Let them quietly “sniff” the world of modern technology. And who knows, they may have found their calling. Because of the Bright Day festival, your child may find technology 'great cool'.

Bright Day Tech festival

On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 November tech festival Bright Day opens its doors in Expo Haarlemmermeer. You can go either way with technology. That becomes clear when you look at the Bright Day tech festival program. There really is a lot to experience! Build your own robot, explore a virtual world or visit one of the robot shows. Below you will find a selection from the program.

1. The human robot Sophia

Robot Sophia does seem very human! During a live show at the Bright Day festival, Sophia is interviewed about, among other things, artificial intelligence and her impression of people. And your impression of robots will undoubtedly take a whole new turn as a result. Would you like to see more of her beforehand? Check out the video above.

2. Care robot Phi

Robots are also on the rise in healthcare. Perhaps these care robots will soon be your children's colleagues! Take a look at the world of care robot Phi. It is one of the first social robots to be used in healthcare. Phi helps people perform tasks, and talks to them. Do you like to look that cat out of the tree first? Then visit Phi's show at the Bright Day festival.

3. Play a game of robot soccer

Have you sat still long enough? Then go play a game of football! Only here you play against real robot soccer players... Can you beat the robot team?

4. The ANYmal show

Robots don't just exist in human form. ANYmal moves like a real beast. And it's not just any toy:this robot is used for inspections and rescue work. And you can also admire it during the Bright Day days!

5. Robots under water

It is better not to drop most electronic equipment into water. But that is different with the robots from RoboSea! All kinds of underwater robots are shown here. There are dozens of robots swimming around here, all of which are used in practice. They can all do something different; a kind of robot water ballet 😉 .
