For those following me on social media (Facebook/Instagram), you know we were fortunate to be invited by Madame Vacances for a family week at Hotel Ibiza in Les 2 Alpes.
We were already fans of Les 2 Alpes from two prior short stays (long weekends), also in hotels. The resort offers numerous, varied slopes by difficulty level, reaching the glacier at 3,600 meters. You can even ski there in summer!
Our family skis annually (thanks to flexible jobs for my husband and me). The kids love it; I took it up as an adult (with my figure skating background helping). My husband tackles every slope like a pro. It's a significant investment, but the memories grow richer as our teens now join us for full-day adventures. Access to a large ski area is key—previously, ski school pickups limited longer runs.
Hotel vs. rental comes down to budget, but with teens' appetites, I prefer all-inclusive half-board buffets. Hotels lighten the mental load—no shopping, cooking, or cleaning. Madame Vacances makes this feasible with frequent promotions, even during school holidays. Ours: kids under 18 stayed and ate free at Hotel Ibiza!

Hotel Ibiza highlights:
Just 5 minutes from slopes via complimentary shuttle—pure convenience. South-facing rooms boast balconies with stunning La Muzelle summit views. Check my Instagram stories for interior videos.

Family-friendly: expansive indoor pool, plus sauna, jacuzzi, and hammam for parents. Games room (billiards, foosball, ping pong), board games in the lounge, kid-pleasing buffets, and twice-weekly magician Tom with balloon art. Pastries at snack time, evening music—balanced calm and fun, no rowdy club vibes.

Ski gear rental next to the ski room. Small gym available (I skipped it for the hammam).
Areas for improvement: Limited fruit at buffets; desserts overly sweet (we dined out for raclette once). Compact bathrooms/toilets, but spacious rooms with kingsize beds and excellent bedding—a rarity worth noting. Occasional noise from neighbors, common in hotels.
Mountain views:

Mild weather felt like April; we skied daily except one snowy day (pool and games saved us). Teens ski confidently, riding lifts together—heartwarming. We challenge black runs, laugh, improve as a family. Pure joy!
I highly recommend Madame Vacances for French vacations, mountains or beyond (like our Vendée trip). Excellent value, quality stays, regular promos—book early for best deals. Grateful for these privileges.
