A dog or a man? 10 reasons why it is better to choose the dog

Your dog listens better than your man

You probably recognize it… your husband/boyfriend is watching TV, but you still have something to say about your day. You make coffee, sit down next to your partner on the couch and start talking. Logical, because you want to share how your day has been today. During your story you will occasionally hear some 'hmmm' and 'huhuh'. Only when you ask your husband a question, or indicate that you have 'so' made an appointment for the weekend, does he wake up.

huh? What?

Well. Precisely. Therefore. So.

Your dog will always listen to you with full attention. Whether you're complaining about work, talking about an altercation with a friend, or grumbling that your mother-in-law shows up unexpectedly again. Your four-legged friend listens faithfully to your stories.

Your cooking skills are always appreciated

Despite the fact that men like to have dinner ready when they get home, they still regularly perform it to criticize your cooking. The potatoes are not salty enough, the meat is too well done, your latest stew looks like a volcano about to erupt. And so on.

Your dog, on the other hand, is at your feet while cooking. Sniffs around because it all smells so good and he stands up neatly on his hind legs when he gets some from you. What do you give? That does not matter. It's bite. swallow. Road 😉 . And the mouth is still licked with taste.

Although I would rather not see my husband do that lately, I think the rest of the behavior fits in the 'tasteful' category.

You are always perfect

Getting into bed with wooded legs? Coming in rained out with a runny nose and mascara smeared by a downpour? Hanging out on the couch in your jogging and stuffing yourself with chips because you have your monthly moment?

Not a dog that crows at that. He will always be happy to see you and won't turn his head because you don't look good. Your man? Mine will at the very least conjure up its familiar frown… and that is of course enough to get me on the shelf.

Never too old to learn

Have you ever tried to teach your husband to put the cap on the toothpaste tube and to just throw his socks in the wash instead of leaving them on the floor? There's no getting started. If his mother did not take any steps in his youth, you can forget it, it is no longer taught.

A dog can always teach you something, no matter how old!

Obvious mother love

A dog is always welcomed by your mother with open arms! Your four-legged friend is spoiled, I am taken for walks and plenty of cuddles. Think back to the first moment you introduced your partner at home… Need i say more?

Friends are always welcome

Friends who come over for tea? No problem! Your buddy is ready to greet all your friends in a friendly way and will lie down comfortably. Your husband? He is sulking at the dining table that he can't watch VI 😉

Always cuddle time

Are you grumpy because there is no more chocolate? Tired of taking too much on your fork? Or do you just want to watch your own girl series without having to justify yourself? No problem! Your dog will jump on the couch and will always be up for a hug.

Your man? He is probably the culprit and guilty of the lack of chocolate. In addition, he usually produces more work at home than he tackles. And as for the girl series? See above.

Time for training

Are you going for a workout? Your dog will be eager to join you! Your man? He probably only comments on your speed…

TV time

Mediating about who can watch which series, when and for how long is a thing of the past. Even if you watch GTST for hours on end, your dog will still be cozy with you. Your partner? He has long since left for the pub.

You are never too old

Have you been together for years? Nice! Your relationship with your dog will only get better. He won't notice the wrinkles around your eyes and you won't be traded in for your less toned figure. What is your partner's position on this? Well… by the time the midlife crisis starts, watch out!

Tell me, do you have any other reasons why it is better to have a dog than a man? Or are you more of a cat person 😉 ?

Thanks to Femke from the comparison website of dog insurance Tinki.nl, always nice to receive these kinds of lists 😉 .
