Finding Silver Linings in Lockdown: A Positive Spin on Confinement

After embracing Lorie's positive vibe—don't thank me, it'll keep your mind occupied. Then, the coaches' miracle morning solutions (or not) for happiness. And of course, the benevolent Blaise. Remember that post I dedicated to him and positive parenting?

Finding Silver Linings in Lockdown: A Positive Spin on Confinement

It's time for positive confinement!

Today, I confess: I chose laughter over lockdown blues. Instead of dwelling on the heavy toll—the losses, fears, exhausted healthcare workers, non-remote employees, or parents juggling work and homeschooling—let's focus on the positives. Science backs it: a positive mindset, as even experts like Didier Raoult's peers suggest, bolsters immunity. Keep up with ravintsara essential oil (if you can find it), but morale is key to enduring this.

Hashtag #POSITIVELOCKDOWN. Here's what stands out:

We're together as a family, safe and sound—that's the priority (homework, work, and all notwithstanding).

We're cooking more often (quality improving slowly).

The home sparkles: keyboards swabbed, albums sorted, laundry ironed (eventually).

Teens are 'interning' by observing our work routines!

Sharing the mental load more equitably.

Teens emerge from rooms—for baguettes, at least (trash duty pending... but progress!).

Friction pens justify reusing exit forms.

Paris's newfound silence (and birdsong) lets us breathe deeply (minus that polluted Sunday).

Balcony chats with neighbors.

Binge-watching, reading, gaming galore.

More sleep (insomnia aside).

Vinted sellers are polite, reserving items—perfect post-tidy sales spree.

Share your positives in the comments! On Facebook, you've shared kids eating better, shopping willingly, helping siblings, and parents joining TikTok fun. Inspiring! Not there yet, but #positivelockdown has room to grow.
