Admittedly, ironing isn't my thing. But recently, a beautifully wrapped package arrived that changed that. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have spotted it. Inside was a treasure trove, including trendy Xenos iron-on patches! My daughter, an 8-year-old style enthusiast, was thrilled. At her age, looking fashionable is everything.

Today's iron-on patches bear no resemblance to the basic ones from my childhood, slapped on out of necessity. Now, they're a stylish staple on clothes and accessories. You can even buy pre-patched jeans, like my daughter Lotte's. As a kid, I envied anything beyond a plain square. But times have changed!
Young creatives like Lotte take it further, designing their own looks with Xenos patches. Think mini fashion influencer vibes. The variety is impressive, and sets start at just €1.49.
Ironing? Not for me. Some moms dedicate hours weekly to it, perfectly pressing everything.
I don't.
My mom taught me shirt-ironing as a life skill. Now, reflecting on this, I see I'm skipping that lesson for my kids—no judgment from my husband either.
I only iron for iron-on beads or these Xenos patches. That's it.
I love how these patches spark kids' personal taste. Amid schoolyard trends, it's easy to lose individuality. Customizing with patches or studs lets them shine uniquely—like when Lotte and I studded her sneakers for a cool glow-up (wish I had photos!).
Lotte picked hippie feathers and 'cool' designs. I snagged some for a summery twist on my Miss Etam denim jacket.
Super simple. Peel from the backing, iron at 200°C onto fabric, let the adhesive set, and done! Works on clothes, bags, pillows—anything fabric. Machine-washable too.
Ready to try? Find Xenos stores online. No local one here, but I grabbed that black gold-print cushion in Enschede. Shop online if needed.
Now, time to sew—the PR kit included needles! 😜
