We're redecorating his room, packing the "baby" toys away to the basement.

Like clues to the past. Proof they were once so small. Yes, indeed.

Yesterday, I sold the last car seat.

No more babies, no more tiny tots. No need for all that specialized gear or adapters.

Now it's our turn, as parents, to adapt to who they've become.

And it's not easy.

I crave a crutch—a booster seat—just to keep watching over them from above.
