2008 – Birth of the blog
1998 – Birth of our couple
1978 – Birth of my husband
1948 – Birth of my mother
Time to pop the champagne for all these milestones...
So, what about 2018?
For once, I've decided to set some truly achievable resolutions.
First, I'll build on the positive changes from the past two to three years:
- Our PR 2.0 Com&Kids agency, which keeps growing with exciting new projects—especially since hiring our first employee. I'll mark three years as a self-employed entrepreneur in June, with zero regrets.
- My consistent fitness routine, which I refuse to abandon. It keeps me feeling strong physically and, most importantly, mentally balanced.
- Decluttering our hygiene, maintenance, and food products—a habit we've nurtured for years, now ramped up toward natural and organic options. The mantra? Less is more.
- Eliminating negativity and seeking out positivity. It might sound cliché, but it's essential. As a highly empathetic person, I used to absorb others' stress at my own expense. Now, I've learned healthy boundaries—prioritizing my loved ones without self-sacrifice. This shift has made a world of difference.
- Prioritizing self-care, woven into all the above. Last fall, a naturopath provided invaluable advice on my diet and winter wellness, recommending supplements and essential oils. Following her guidance has kept me resilient, even with a hectic lifestyle. Knock on wood—aside from one recent cold, I've stayed healthy.
Next, I'll tackle long-held dreams I've hesitated to pursue, much like restarting my fitness journey. Feeling more grounded now (despite my non-stop schedule), it's time to check off a few:
- Finally register as a bone marrow donor
- Go skydiving
- Learn piano or guitar
- Master Spanish
- Read more books
Note: Quitting Candy Crush? Saving that for 2019.
Of course, I'll keep this blog alive. Even as visual content and stories dominate, writing here remains vital after 10 transformative years.
Here's to a happy 2018! As I posted on Facebook recently: Take care of yourself.
Thank you, my loyal readers, for checking in here and on social media.
