Tomorrow morning, I'm flying out with Air Transat to Montreal, followed by another flight to New Brunswick, where I'll spend a full week.
A week away from my family.
But not without that familiar mom guilt, endless organization, and the paradox of needing a break.
I didn't hesitate to accept this amazing invitation—it's a hosted blog trip in the heart of the blogosphere.
Consider this: It's been a whirlwind year with a demanding agency job, a teenager navigating crises, a young schoolboy, and the endless juggle of it all. I deserve this respite!
(Yes, I hear you saying, "Absolutely, you do!")
Thanks.
Of course, true to form, I've organized everything meticulously. With my husband's work schedule leaving little room for coverage, the kids facing three days mostly on their own after school ends, plus those endlessly complex last two days... I turned to a trusted solution: a professional babysitter agency.
Not just any agency—Assadia, experts in "intelligent childcare." Their trained caregivers go beyond watching kids; they nurture and engage them meaningfully, complete with age-appropriate activity kits. As a mom who's always hired nannies directly and rarely used agencies, this was a game-changer for my peace of mind. These values align perfectly with what busy parents like me need to step away confidently.
I stocked the fridge, cupboards, and freezer; cleared the laundry; scattered Post-its everywhere; and created a detailed schedule on the fridge door.
On the 256th "honey, while I'm gone...", my son gently interrupted: "It'll be fine, Mom."
Oops.
I'll be just fine.
I'll savor this stunning Canadian region and incredible opportunity.
Follow my adventures closely on Instagram this week!
Here's the plan:
