We spent 5 days at Center Parcs celebrating Ethan's 4th birthday, a quick visit to my in-laws in Orléans, attended a friend's wedding in Bordeaux, and wrapped up with 5 days in Alsace at the Gîte Pigeonnier du Domaine Allimant-Laugner in Orschwiller.
Alsace is one of our favorite regions in France—stunning scenery, rich history, and endless appeal for both adults (think Wine Route and majestic castles) and kids (eagle shows, monkey mountain, Cigoland, and Parc du Petit Prince). That said, with young children, we might wait a couple more years for the full experience.

We stayed at the Allimant-Laugner Gîte (Pigeonnier), nestled in the charming village of Orschwiller.
