Sea Life Val D'Europe

Sea Life Val D Europe This Sunday Family Outing:Sea Life Aquarium located in the Val d'Europe shopping center (77). An aquarium in a mall? Yes, it's true that we can remain skeptical, and think that the aquarium is very small. The Sea Life aquarium is actually underground in the mall, with many large pools, accommodating sharks, giant tortoises, and even penguins in a refrigerated space.

On the occasion of the release of the film "Sonic, the film", the SEA LIFE Val d'Europe aquarium offers children the opportunity to immerse themselves in the universe of the little character from the Sega video game of the same name, through a animation dedicated to the little ones… and why not to the older ones! (last day this Sunday)

As soon as they enter, visitors will receive the Sonic activity booklet that they will have to complete during the visit. They are encouraged to walk around the aquarium and interact with the interactive and fun games they will discover as they wander around. Thus, they will have to meet the challenges of sharks, starfish, octopus, seahorses and crab to collect emeralds. The word to find is “CRAB” (but shh!)

At the end of the visit, visitors must hand in their completed activity sheet to receive a surprise reward:a mask featuring the heroes of Sonic!

The Sea Life aquarium is very well thought out and completely child-friendly:
  • a play area at the entrance (it would have been better suited to the exit rather than the entrance)
  • a signposted route accessible (even with a pushchair or for people with reduced mobility)
  • pools at eye level even for the little ones
  • very didactic explanatory panels
  • a children's area to color in drawings, scan them, then project them onto a virtual aquarium

Our opinion on the Sea Life Val d’Europe aquarium

Although the aquarium is not huge, we found it to be well laid out and well designed. Educational for children, the visit took us 1h30 (break at the playground included). With young children, we cannot dwell on all of them. This will allow us to come back and relive other moments (the new such as the “Sacred Fish of China and Asia” exhibition, the games-travel, animations, feedings etc)There is always something to learn and discover at the SEA LIFE aquarium! Still, ticket prices are relatively high, but keep in mind that Sea Life finances and supports many projects to safeguard the marine environment and protect the environment.
