Antonio De Cava, a lifelong book lover and former teacher now retired in southern Italy, noticed that children in nearby villages had limited access to reading materials.

Built in 2003 from a repurposed APE Piaggio motorcycle, Antonio meticulously transformed it into a book-carrying haven for kids.
Every month, he drives more than 500 km through remote villages—entirely unpaid, fueled by his passion for books and commitment to early literacy.
In a video interview, he shares: "I've always believed that children should have the opportunity to learn interesting things everywhere, not just while they're at school."
