Why September Is a Wake-Up Call for Couples: Infidelity Surges Revealed

Is it the thrill of summer holidays, the back-to-school blues, or the lingering effects of lockdown on relationships? Whatever the cause, data from Gleeden, a leading extramarital dating platform, shows September marking a peak in infidelity this year.

Gleeden reported a staggering 472% increase in site activity during the week of August 31 to September 6 compared to a typical week. Notably, 64% of surveyed users admitted to meeting their lover during the first week of school.

Infidelity: Why the September Spike?

The culprit? 2020's challenges. In an April Gleeden survey, 70% of unfaithful respondents said they argued more with their partners since lockdown, citing household chores (67%), child-rearing (55%), lack of privacy (43%), and insufficient attention (36%). Rekindling the spark elsewhere seems a common response.

One more insight: if your partner is a Sagittarius, stay vigilant—Gleeden's prior study ranks it as the most unfaithful zodiac sign.
