Seeking a peaceful reset after Christmas, our family chose a week at Domaine de Blangy—following last year's stay at Domaine du Val. As seasoned family travelers, here's our illustrated overview of the estate, accommodations, on-site fun, nearby adventures, and candid verdict. 😊
Contents 1 The Domaine de Blangy 2 The Cottages 3 On-Site Activities 4 Nearby Attractions 4.1 Île Verte 4.2 Alpacas de la Cour Farroux 4.3 Château de Chimay 5 Our VerdictNestled in the Aisne region, just 2 hours from Paris and near the Belgian border, Domaine de Blangy offers a serene escape in an undiscovered winter gem—perfect for family downtime away from crowds.
Accommodations range from camping pitches (quiet in winter 😉) to modern, fully equipped cottages.

Our recent, spotless cottage was a highlight—comfortable, thoughtfully equipped, and ideal for families. Key features:
– Two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (parental suites) and TVs
– Spacious living/dining area with fully fitted kitchen
The estate offers climbing, archery, blowpipe shooting, geocaching (orienteering trails), and canoeing.

With kids aged 2 and 5, these suited older children better. Winter visits mean limited options—go for relaxation, not action.
This leisure spot features a large aquatic center, bowling, and restaurant. A partnership pass gave us daily access to the pools: a 50m lap pool, family area (30°C heated), paddling pool, and indoor current river—bliss in winter!
Bowling and dining add family fun.

Minutes away, this charming alpaca farm (llama cousins) stole our hearts. The passionate owner gave a private tour, sharing insights on these golden-fleeced beauties.
